Service functionalities

• Newsletter subscription
  Application to receive the Info Service(all group-relevant subjects), the IR-Newsletter(up-to-date information on Investor Relations) and the Job-Letter (the latest job vacancies).
• Ordering of publications
  All publications (in print) available can be ordered with the order form.
• Share-calculator
  The Share-calculator calculates the current portfolio valueof your Metro shares.
• Development of the Metro Stock's shareprice
  Interactive Chartwith a choice of different criteria to depict the shareprice development of the Metro share.
• Print page
  The print function makes it possible to print out the contents of a page without navigation or similar components not relevant to the content. This function is integrated at the top right on every page where this is technically feasible.
• Read page
  With this Readspeaker, you can have texts from the METRO Group Internet read out aloud, or download them as MP3 files.
• Quick search
  By allocating subjects to special target groups, contents can be found even more quickly. This can be implemented on every page under "quick search" at the bottom right.
• Website search
  Search functionfor all national and international web pages of METRO Group, broken down to sales divisions / cross-divisional service companies and countries.

• Search
  Free full text searchwith additional options for search, link or omission of words within the various main categories.

Activation of JavaScript

Only few pages of the internet offering are based on JavaScript which cannot always be avoided. They can only be fully used if JavaScript is activated.

If JavaScript has been used for clearer presentation of extensive contents, links to identical contents without the use of JavaScript have also been integrated.

Accessibility (barrier-free Web Design)

METRO Group used the regulation on barrier-free information technology (BITV www.bit.bund.de) as a basis for the design of this website. This provided the prerequisites for people with a limited optical perception to use the internet offering.

Since early 2008, the Readspeaker text reading tool has been enabling users to have texts and the contents of individual pages from the METRO Group Internet read aloud to them, or to have them saved as MP3 files. Readspeaker is an Internet-based service which does not require the installation or downloading of software to the PC, nor to the website server.

In addition, these pages share a standard layout as well as seamless structuring and navigation. The website features a logical structure of contents for users with assisted technology such as the IBM Home Page Reader, which they can use with all means of their technology.

• All forms have a linear and logical structure and can be read by screen readers.
• The entire offering can be navigated with the tab key. Access keys have deliberately not been installed.
• A contrast settingcan be used to choose between two different colors.
• By showing the fond size in per cent, the font sizeon display can be enlarged or downsized depending on the type of browser.
