Support for parents and young families: 'Hello Baby' gets an offspring

About four years after its launch, the hypermarkets chain Real is expanding the programme "Hello Baby" also to parents of older children. In conjunction with the initiative "real,- Family Manager", families with children aged up to ten years can now also enjoy the free support.

In 2006, Real's benefit programme "Hello Baby" saw the light of day. It was popular right from the start with a participation of about 60 percent within the relevant target group. For this reason, the programme was extended to babies of up to 18 months already in 2008. With 340,000 active participants, the programme soon became one the most successful of its kind in Germany.

Now, parents also receive welcome presents, discount vouchers and product samples beyond the baby phase of their children. To this end, the existing programme was enhanced by three stages. The original basic stage "Hello Baby" for children up to 12 months was supplemented by "Hello Explorer" for parents of toddlers from 1 to 2 years. Parents of pre-school and school children benefit from "Hello Minis" (3 to 5 years) and "Hello Kids" (6 to 10 years).

From now on, interested parents can register for the programme under Link to external page:www.familymanager.de or in every Real hypermarket. Upon registration, they will automatically be assigned to the appropriate programme section. Later, they will be transferred to the subsequent stages. This means that parents who have already registered for the "Hello Baby" programme will automatically participate in the "Hello Explorer" programme.

As a big family supporter, Real has been offering activities around the smallest family members for many years. Consistently in line with the Real slogan "One store, you won't need more", the programme was integrated into the online platform "familymanager.de". According to the individual programme stages, this platform offers additional age-related information about topics such as health, nutrition, parenting and encouragement or leisure time. Furthermore, the initiative "real,- Family Manager" supports kindergartens all over Germany. In addition, Real is highly committed by offering the real,- MINI MARATHON and the real,- junior cup, which is Germany's biggest street soccer tournament series for children and adolescents, and by supporting sports and youth development. During the summer months, the real,- Children's Days always attract tens of thousands of visitors.
